These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Saxons Trailers website and service. By visiting the Saxons Trailers website you accept, and agree to, the content of these Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to change the Terms and Conditions at any time and it is your responsibility to check regularly before ordering. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Terms of Service
When you place an order via our website (www.saxonstraiers.co.uk) we will treat that action as an offer to buy. Once the order is placed you will receive confirmation in the form of an email and at this time we enter into a contract with you.
Product Specifications and Suitability
Published product details, specifications and suitability information is the best available at the time. Saxons Trailers shall not be held responsible for the accuracy of any advice given regarding the suitability (or otherwise) of any part/s required for the repair of an item.
If you have ordered an item that has an unsuitable product description, we will remedy this by providing you a full refund upon the return of the item. Please see our separate returns policy for details.
We encourage you to ensure all trailer spares are fitted by a competent person in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Saxons Trarilers cannot be held liable for any damage caused by the fitting of a spare part.
Availability / Estimated Delivery Times
We do our best to ensure availability of all advertised products and try to dispatch all orders within the quoted time. If there is a delay we will inform you of this via email and the product will be dispatched as soon as it is available. If you have ordered multiple items they may arrive separately.
Saxons Trailers has no liability to you for any delay in the delivery of products ordered. We will do our best to get all orders sent out as quickly as possible. You have the right to cancel delayed orders at any time, just contact sales@saxonstrailers.co.uk with your order number.
Occasionally we find ourselves having to withdraw an item because it has become obsolete or has been discontinued. If you have placed an order for an item that has been made obsolete we will inform you as soon as possible and offer you an alternative if one is available.
Payment
Payment over the Internet can be made using Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Switch/Maestro or Solo cards or via Paypal. Card charges will appear on your statement as Practical Car and Van Rental .
All prices are quoted in GBP (£) and include Value Added Tax (VAT) at UK rates, In the event of an increase in VAT rates, or as a result of a manufacturer price increase, it may be necessary to adjust prices. Customers are entitled to a full refund if this is not acceptable.
If a problem should occur, your payment method will be refunded as soon as possible. The refund may take a few days to show as cleared funds on your account, depending on payment provider.
If your delivery address is outside of the UK, you may be required to pay import duties and taxes, when your Saxons Trailers order reaches your country. These and any additional charges for customs clearance are your responsibility.
Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled at any time before they are dispatched, please contact parts@saxonstrailers.co.uk .
Saxons Trailers Returns Policy
We hope you will be completely satisfied with your products purchased from Saxons Trailers. However should you wish, you can return it for any reason within 30 days from the date of despatch for a full refund (less postage costs).
Items must be unused and in an as new condition with all packaging and labels attached.
Simply send the item back to us with the delivery note included with your order to:

Please note that you are responsible for the item(s) you are returning until such time as they are received by us. We strongly advise that you use a traceable and insured method of delivery, or at least obtain proof of postage to enable you to claim from the carrier should your item(s) fail to arrive with us.
In the unlikely event that something you have purchased from us is faulty when it arrives then we will be happy to replace it for you.
If an item becomes faulty after a period of time then please contact customer services before returning the item. We will either repair or replace the item at our discretion.
If the part was posted to you we will send you a free postage label or refund your return postage in these instances (item weight dependent) so you don’t incur any additional costs, otherwise if you collected the part just drop it bback to us.
In either of the above events please contact our customer services team at parts@saxonstrailers.co.uk or telephone 01959 541511 between 9:00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday to arrange the return.
Should you wish to exchange an item please contact the parts department and we will arrange for collection and delivery of your exchanged goods.
When a replacement item is required urgently, we advise you to place a new order on the website for the replacement item first. This will ensure that the goods can be despatched without delay in order to get them to you promptly. You should then follow the normal returns procedure as above to return the original goods for a refund.
Questions, Comments and Reviews
We would like our customers to leave reviews, comments and questions on our website. We regularly monitor this and we reserve the right to remove, reject or edit it at any time. When submitting information to our website as a review, question or comment please understand that what you have submitted is not copyright protected and you are permitting its appearance on the Saxons Trailers website.
Privacy Policy
Saxons Trailers will never sell or pass on your name and address to any other organisation without your consent. Your details are confidential and you will never receive unsolicited mail as a result of ordering from Saxons Trailers.
Saxons Trailers maintains a strict privacy policy in full accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Saxons Trailers is committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). Data collected by us will only be used for the following purpose:
- To enable us to take and process customer orders
- To provide you with the best possible service
- To only provide information to third party couriers for goods delivery purposes.
We will not email you in the future unless you have given us your consent. We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from us in the future.

Trailer & Vehicle Hire Terms & Conditions

THE HIRER MUST PRODUCE THE FOLLOWING FORMS OF IDENTIFICATION AT THE TIME OF HIRE:
Trailer Hire: Current Driving Licence, 1 other form of I.D. with a matching address, ie. Utility Bill and the vehicle registration / V5 document for the vehicle that trailer is collected & towed away by. A £200 deposit is required and payable by Credit / Debit card only
Cancellation
No refund will be given with less than 1 weeks notice of cancellation of the proposed hire date.
HIRE CHARGE AND DEPOSIT IS PAYABLE UPON COLLECTION. ALL PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO VAT AT THE CURRENT RATE.
All Hire Trailers are supplied with Triplelock security hitches, full road lighting, spare wheel and wheel brace.
A proper Number plate is a legal requirement and will need to be brought with you for your hire. If required one can normally be made with 1 hours notice the vehicle log book will be required.
£15.00 + vat (V5 / Log Book required).

THE CUSTOMERS GOODS WHILST IN OR ON THE TRAILER ARE NOT OUR RESPONSIBILITY AND IT IS THE HIRERES RESONSIBILITY THAT THE LOAD IS SECURE.
THE COMPANY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE HIRE TO ANY CUSTOMER FOR WHAT EVER REASON WE SEE FIT AT THE TIME OF HIRE
Trailer Hire Specific Terms & Conditions
Upon trailer collection the Hirer must produce as I.D. a full valid Driving Licenceshowing they are licenced to tow our trailer, plus the towing vehicles Log Book (V5),tow vehicle insurance certificate plus a household bill all with the same address.
The hire charge is paid on booking of the trailer; no refund will be made should the trailer be returned prior to the agreed hire completion date and time.
A £200 deposit is payable by debit or credit card only on collection of the trailer, this increases to £500 for the Motor Shuttle. Deposits are refunded on hire completion, provided it is returned undamaged.
Minor damage, i.e. broken lamp/lens, panel damage, floor scratches that reveal plywood, damage to tyres etc will be deducted from the deposit. If accident cover is taken the Hirer is still liable for the first £200 of any damage to the trailer while in their possession, (£500 for Motor Shuttle).
Clips are provided on all trailers to accept an oblong number plate, a number plate is a legal requirement and can be purchased with 1 hours notice on trailer collection. Trailers are not to be written on or have items stuck on them.
The Hirer is responsible for the hitching up, connection of electrics & the checking of the operation of the lights, winch & tilt on the hire trailer. If this is performed by a member of staff the Hirer is responsible for checking & signing to say that everything is OK.
The Hirer agrees to return the trailer in the same condition as collected and no later than the agreed hire completion date and time. Failure to return the trailer on time without prior consent from Saxons Trailers will incur a penalty charge at double the daily hire rate of the trailer/vehicle on hire from Saxons Trailers.
The trailer can only be collected and returned during opening hours Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm, Saturday 8.30am – 10.00pm.
Should the trailer not be returned at the agreed hire completion date and time and no contact is made by the Hirer, the Hirer agrees to copies of hire documentation being passed to the Police to assist recovery of the trailer.
The Hirer will be liable for all recovery, solicitor and court costs incurred if Saxons Trailers have to take legal action to either recover the trailer, the value of the trailer or repair costs, if the Hirer does not comply with these terms and conditions.
Insurance of the trailer will be entirely the Hirers responsibility and the Hirer will agree to pay for any damage, loss or recovery costs arising from any incident (i.e. accident, theft or other cause).
Saxons Trailers cannot be held liable for the damage or theft of customer goods in/on the trailer; nor can they be held liable for claims arising from the loading/unloading of such goods. The Hirer shall completely indemnify Saxons Trailers from all claims by any person for injury to person or property caused by or in connection with the use of the trailer. Saxons Trailers shall not be liable from any losses arising out of use of the trailer.
The trailer must not be taken out of the UK without Saxons Trailers written consent. If consent is given, the Hirer must ensure the trailer is insured to be recovered back to Saxons Trailers in any eventuality.
Any road traffic accidents involving the trailer or theft of the trailer must be reported by the Hirer to the Police and to Saxons Trailers within 8 hours of incident. The Hirer must inform Saxons Trailers of any crime reference number or accident report number given by the Police for any incident.
The Hirer agrees to tow the trailer in a careful manner in accordance with all legal requirements and towing speed limitations with full consideration being given to towing the trailer with a secure restrained load.
The Hirer must not at any time involve the trailer in any illegal importation, i.e. immigrants, drugs, tobacco, alcohol etc. Should the trailer be involved in any illegal activity the Hirer is fully responsible for any costs, fines or recovery. The Hirer will not lend, sell or otherwise part with the trailer from their control. The trailer is the sole property of Saxons Trailers.
The Hirer will be responsible for the internal and external cleanliness of the trailer. If the trailer is returned excessively dirty, a minimum surcharge will be made at £60.00.
All risks as stipulated in these Terms and Conditions pass to the Hirer on signing the hire agreement and when the trailer leaves the possession and control of Saxons Trailers.
On collecting the trailer at a Saxons Trailers you will be required to sign a printed copy of this document, confirming you have read and understood the terms and conditions stated above.
Saxons Trailers cannot be held liable for the damage or theft of customer belongings/goods in the hire vehicle/hire trailer; nor can they be held liable for claims arising from the loading or unloading of any vehicle hired nor can they be held responsible for claims from the slipping or dislodgement of such loads from any vehicle on hire.
Warranty Claims
All work including parts and labour is covered by our specified guarantee at time of purchase / fitting.
In order for us to honour the guarantee the vehicle must be returned to the place of fitting to be rectified.
In the unlikely event that the repairs cannot be carried out by Saxons Trailers the vehicle must be inspected by us & the repair authorised prior to any work being carried out by a third party.
All warranty work is carried out on a return to branch basis & we cannot be liable for any time or cost incurred in returning the vehicle to us.
